Musician Derrick Hodge hopes to "honor the tradition of previous years…and then mixing it in with a lot of music of today" while serving as the lead conductor and orchestrator at this year's Academy Awards. The jazz musician has an extensive foothold in hip-hop and R&B as well, working with artists such as H.E.R., Ye (formerly Kanye West), Common, Jill Scott, Q-Tip and more. (Mar. 24)
