Hugh Laurie has long been a fan of Agatha Christie's works and was delighted to adapt her mystery "Why Didn't They Ask Evans" into a limited series for BBC BritBox. His version has the central couple – played by Lucy Boynton and Will Poulter—engaging in clever, quick banter throughout the story as they try to determine how a man fell off a cliff in Wales.
